Welcome!

I'm Molly Rushing, an Advanced Clinical Fellow at Intuitive Healing Psychotherapy Practice in NYC. If you've found your way here, you may be looking for support and wondering if I'm the right person to provide it. If you are seeking a warm environment where you will be empowered to work through the big and small, light and shadow elements of your life, we might be a great team.

I have personally experienced the profound shifts that therapy can bring, and I believe that magic can happen when two people come together in a space of safety and honesty.

My background in theatre, fitness, and corporate life informs my work and helps me connect with clients from many different paths. If you're curious about how I work or whether we'd be a good fit, take a look around or reach out directly for a free consult call.

My Services

Talk Therapy

My style is collaborative and playful, and I use a strengths-based approach in my work with clients. I have an Adlerian background and incorporate elements of CBT, ACT, and narrative therapy into my work. The gist is we will work together to identify your values and goals and incorporate evidence-based practices to create meaningful change in your life.

Expressive Arts Therapy

My personal philosophy is that reflective insight infused with embodied processes, like the expressive arts, can lead to a deeper level of self-knowledge and transformation. Trained in Expressive Arts Therapy, I am able to incorporate practices involving movement, poetry, writing, music, visual arts, and mindfulness that facilitate deeper insight and meaning in the therapeutic process.

Clients are always invited to incorporate these modalities into sessions but are never forced to do so. If you'd like to learn more about what this process would look like in-session, click here.

My Style

I work with adult individuals and groups who are navigating a variety of life transitions and challenges. Some of my special areas of interest include:

  • Anxiety

  • Depression

  • Life transitions

  • Creative and high-pressure careers

  • Burnout

  • Spirituality and religious trauma

I love working with clients from all cultures and backgrounds, and endeavor to approach my work with cultural humility, curiosity, and respect.

I like the therapeutic space to feel warm and collaborative, where you can feel safe to explore your inner landscape and express what you find there.
